SELF ABUSE was an Punk, Punk Rock band from Bournemouth, UK active in the years 1982 - 1984, in the year 2004 the band reformed again. SELF ABUSE played / plays mid-paced melodic Punk Rock with fairly tuneful vocals, something inbetween THE NEWTOWN NEUROTICS, CHRO GEN or DEMOB. Counting John Peel among their fans, SELF ABUSE´s debut EP "(i didn´t wanna be a) SOLDIER" reached number one in Sounds´s Indie chart on its 1984 release (and number 3 in Melody Maker´s equivalent).
Orginally released on RADICAL CHANGE RECORDS, UK in the year 1984.
Official re-issue limited to 300 copies on Ultra Clear vinyl, comes in a pocket cover with original artwork and a fold-out lyric sheet is added too.
