RATTUS - "WC Räjähtää" CD DIGIPACK
WC Räjähtää is one of the greatest classics of Finnish hardcore and, after 43 years, Criminal Attack Records proudly reissues it on CD for the very first time. Recorded in 1982 and originally released in 1983 by Poko Records, WC Räjähtää captures a crucial moment in the evolution of RATTUS: the transition from D-beat into a faster, more direct and condensed hardcore style, heavily influenced by American hardcore punk, yet already carrying the traits that would begin to define the Finnish sound in the early 1980s. Unlike later recordings, the band here still operates on the edge between outside influence and its own emerging identity. WC Räjähtää is a historical document of Finnish hardcore and an essential landmark in worldwide punk history. This reissue comes in a special 3-panel digipack edition featuring rare and historic photos, a short recollection from bassist Tomppa about the era of the album, and the original-format insert, fully honoring its importance. All 14 tracks have been completely remastered in the USA by Jack Control (Severed Head of State / World Burns to Death) at Enormous Door Mastering. A classic of this magnitude could only have artwork to match: the cover was created by the legendary PUSHEAD (Septic Death), also known for his work with Metallica, Misfits and Kylesa, among many others. A historic and essential item for all collectors of classic punk records worldwide!
