Smog Marines – "Scheme" 7" (1980)
At a 1979 New Years Eve house party the Silverlake punk band Opus (9) desiring a name that reflected a more punk image changed their name to Smog Marines. The newly named Smog Marines consisted of Raoul Endara, A. J. Terry, Scott Maxson, and Tony Comstock. In the spring of 1980 the Smog Marines had numerous recording sessions at Mystic Studio in Hollywood. That summer a few of the studio tracks received regular play on Rodney Bingenheimer's radio show. By early 1981 Smog Marines had dissolved.
The release features songs off the Smog Marines demo cassette which was played on Rodney Bingenheimer’s show in the summer of 1980. All three tracks are exclusive to this 7”, never before released and not on the full length LP.
